Viktória Batista is a native of Hungary. In Hungary, she earned a BA in English and an MA in German Literature with a European Studies minor. She holds a Ph.D. in German Applied Linguistics from the University of Kansas. She has taught ESL, German and Hungarian at KU, in New York City and at Pitt, where she is currently a Teaching Associate Professor in Linguistics and the Hungarian Program Coordinator at the Less-Commonly-Taught-Languages Center.
